Celebration of Married Life on Saturday 16th May , there will be a special Celebration Mass for Married Life at Leeds Cathedral at 12 Noon for couples and their families celebrating their 25th (Silver), 40th (Ruby), 50th (Golden), 60th (Diamond) and 70th (Platinum) wedding anniversaries this year. There will be an opportunity for couples, who wish to do so, to renew their marriage vows during the liturgy. If you are celebrating the anniversary of your wedding and you would like to take part in this celebration, please fill out the application form which is available at the back of church.
Palm Sunday Masses as usual. Wednesday 1st April Mass of Chrism at Leeds Cathedral 11am – all welcome. Holy Thursday: Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper 7pm St Aelred’s with watching at the Altar of repose until 9pm. Good Friday 11am Family Stations of the Cross St Aelred’s 3pm The Lord’s Passion at both churches. Holy Saturday Easter Vigil 7pm at St Mary’s. Easter Sunday usual Sunday Masses.
Divine Mercy Sunday April 12th This will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Skipton Road, Harrogate. 2pm Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with confession. 3pm Prayer of Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Benediction and veneration of the Holy Image. All very welcome.
Easter Egg Hunt at St Mary’s after 10.30am Mass on Easter Sunday.
UPDATE Family Fast raised from St Aelred’s £791.04 plus gift aid and from St Mary’s £326.00. A very big thank you.
St Mary’s Garden day Saturday 11th April from 11am to 1pm. Please bring your trowel and snippers. Refreshments for the workers and help needed now to remove the rubbish.
A big thank you to everyone who supported our Mother’s Day flower fundraiser at St Mary’s — we’re delighted to share that we raised £100. This will be split between repairs to the church and our journey towards becoming sustainable and single use plastic free in our flowers! We will also be arranging flowers for Easter Sunday on Saturday 4th April at 10:30am. Everyone is very welcome to come along, lend a hand, and enjoy a cup of tea together

Food Bank: A TIN A WEEK: Our SVPs collect food for the hungry, can you spare a tin a week for this, also some toiletries? These can be left in the boxes at the back of our churches. The Lord tells us to feed the hungry, so thank you all for your donations which are sincerely appreciated.
