Fishy Luncheon - Thursday 4th December 2025 St Aelred’s Hall. Friendship Groups: St Mary’s Friendship Group meet Monday afternoons from 1.30pm to 3pm with refreshments and good cake! All most welcome. St Aelred’s Friendship Group meet on the third Wednesday of each month at 1.30pm – 3.30pm all most welcome.
The Sacrament of Confirmation: will be celebrated, by Bishop Marcus, on Wednesday 25 th February 2026, 7pm, at St Aelred’s. All Year 6 students and above are invited to apply for the sacrament. Please see Fr Gerard, Deacon David or Deacon Philip for an application form.
Our annual Remembrance Mass will take place on Tuesday 11 th November, 7pm, at St Aelred’s. If you can offer a lift or need one, please sign up in the Narthex at St Mary’s.

Deanery day of renewal. Saturday 8th November 11.30 am to 3.45 pm in St. Aelred’s church hall, Speaker is Jones Bediako. The theme of his talk is “Suffering in Christ.” Until recently Jones was a member of the National service team for Catholic Charismatic Renewal and is chairperson of the Leeds Diocesan service team
St Aelred’s annual Christmas Fair will take place on Sunday 30th November following 9am Mass. We need donations of bottles, chocolate and cakes on the day. The annual raffle tickets are on sale this weekend.
