March for Life 2025 will be held on Saturday, 6th September in London. Participating in this familyfriendly event is an excellent way to give a peaceful and positive public witness of our Catholic faith and our belief in the value of every human life. We are currently exploring the possibility of hiring a coach to transport members of St Robert’s and the surrounding parish communities. The cost would be approximately £40 per person. Joint Parish outing August 14th To celebrate the life and work of Pope Francis and the 10th Anniversary of the publication of his seminal work 'Laudato Si', we will be taking a day trip to the Laudato Si centre at Wardley Hall, Salford. https://laudatosicentre.org.uk/ Coach pickup and drop-off from St Aelred's and St Mary's carparks. Our SVPs collect food for the hungry, can you spare a tin a week for this also some toiletries? These can be left in the boxes at the back of our churches. The Lord tells us to feed the hungry, so thank you all for your donations which are sincerely appreciated.
Friendship Groups: St Mary’s Friendship Group meet Monday afternoons from 1.30pm to 3pm with refreshments and good cake! All most welcome. St Aelred’s Friendship Group meet on the third Wednesday of each month at 1.30pm – 3.30pm all most welcome.
