St Robert's School, ‘Jillfest’

To celebrate the retirement of the lovely Headteacher Miss Collins, St Robert’s School will be hosting ‘Jillfest’ on
Friday 26th June from 5.30 – 8.30pm. There will be live performances, games, bar and lots more! It would be great to see as many old and present families as possible. Raffle tickets are available to purchase online:

Monday 1st June. All are welcome to come and enjoy Fish & Chips, mushy peas, coffee/tea, bread & Butter and sweets for afters, as well as some good chat. Hall opens 12 noon, luncheon served 1230. £8.00. Monies to be paid to Tony or Margaret. Please put your names on the list at the back of St Aelred’s church or phone/text Tony on 07912790773.
Food Bank: A TIN A WEEK: Our SVPs collect food for the hungry, can you spare a tin a week for this, also some toiletries? These can be left in the boxes at the back of our churches. The Lord tells us to feed the hungry, so thank you all for your donations which are sincerely appreciated.
Saturday 13th June 11.30 am to 3.45 pm in St. Aelred’s church hall. Speaker is Rev. Michelle Lepine. The title of her talk is” Repair shop -The power of Jesus to restore us.” All most welcome.
Mass intentions gratefully received using the brown envelopes in both churches. All Mass intentions must be made via the brown envelopes in the narthex and a cash donation placed in them or use the tab on the Dona machine. Please give at least 2 weeks’ notice to facilitate a special day.

Would you like to be part of ensuring our Bed Race Café is a huge success and meet new people and support a fantastic community cause? We are looking for volunteers to donate cakes, buns and biscuits and help set up and volunteer on the day. The church will be open: (for cake drop off and set up), Friday 13th: 5:00pm – 6:30pm and Saturday 14th: 9:00am – 11:00am. We would love volunteers from both St Mary’s and St Aelred’s parishes to come together, build new friendships and create a wonderful community spirit.
St Aelred’s Church will be holding their summer fayre on Sunday 28th June after 9am Mass. Please come along and join in on the fun, games, food and beverages! If you have any donations for the raffle or bottle tombola then please leave at the back of Church, raffle tickets will be on sale soon. Many thanks!
A local family have asked St. Aelred's SVP if we can provide any garden furniture or outside toys. A 4 year old boy would dearly love a sandpit with a cover, or other toys to play with in the garden. If you are able to help, please call the SVP on 07311 214364. Thank you
The St Mary’s Summer BBQ will take place on Sunday 5th July following the 10.30am Mass. Tickets on sale soon.
Saturday 30th May 9am until 12. We need a lot of gardening help, please bring your own gloves, trowels and spades, lots of weeding to do! We will also need volunteers to do tip runs and make hot drinks, many thanks in advance.
